Caring Ministry
HOLF Cooking
On the first Sunday of each month, a team of volunteers visits the Home of Loving Faithfulness in Sheung Shui to cook dinner for its staff members. Their aim is to follow Jesus’ example and serve in love.
Non-believing friends are strongly encouraged to participate so that they may also experience God’s love in this Christ-centered home for the disabled.
Skills Required: cooking skills are preferable but not essential. Of vital importance is a heart that desires to serve and a willingness to spend time in a hot kitchen in the company of good friends.

Prison Ministry
IBC has been involved in Prison Ministry since August 2003 by working through Asian Baptist Women’s Fellowship, HK. We work with women prisoners and it is a joy to have seen over 350 women come to know the Lord as their personal Savior and Lord, through our visits. Participants are over 40 women volunteers from about 8 different churches in HK.
The new schedule for the visits are:
1st and 3rd Fridays of the month – 11:00 am to 12:15 noon – Castle Peak Immigration Centre
2nd Friday of the month – 2:30 – 4:30 pm – Tai Lam Centre for Women
3rd Sunday of the month – 4:00- 5:30 pm – Lo Wu Correctional Institute
If you would like to join us for the prison visits, please contact:
Latika Paul, email: latika@abwfhk.org, abwf@hkjsp.com.hk Mobile phone: 9151-3408.
If you would like to get involved but are unable to visit the prisons, here are some suggestions:
- 1. Pray for this ministry that the Lord will lead more women to participate in different ways.
- Start a letter writing Ministry Team to write to prisoners as their pen pals.
- Collect Christian/Spiritual books to be passed on to inmates. The books should have soft covers. No hard cover books will be accepted, for security reasons.
- Start a regular Bible correspondence course with them, by checking with the Discipleship Team.
